The Tundra Biome is known for being extremly cold and having long harsh  winters and short cool summers. The ground in the tundra is frozen from anywhere between 10 inches to 3 feet down, meaning that no trees can grow here and it can only support low growing plants plants like the pasque flower and arctic moss. Surprisingly the tundra still supports quiet a few animal species like the arctic fox and the polar bear.

The musk oxen are an endangered species mostly in part to the fact that humans have over hunted and poached them, using them for their furs and putting them in Zoos. Also humans have harmed this environment with oil drilling/mining and global warming.
